Once upon a time there was a really active forum one the FREEBOARDS web site, I believe that this was ran by an engineer employed by Marine Power (David Swain???)(not sure).
Anyway the site has been down for a long time and I have had no reply from Marine Power when asking the question, "What has happened to the Yanmar Forum" Does any out there know the answer
Thanks
Neil

Dave the moderater was getting fed up with all the spam, adverts and problems plus was too busy with work at marinepower.
I answered quite a few of the gm engine questions and was a moderator for a few years.

Hello Steve
Thanks for the reply, I know nothing concerning the running of a forum but I would be willing to learn and give it a go if Dave was willing?
All the best

Just sportted this old item. The Yanmar Help forum is alive today, I have just looked something up.

It is run by Marine Power Ltd, and I thank them for keeping it running.

more diesel help? try boatdiesel.com

for a lot of engine help try the site boatdiesel.com it has a complete collection of threads and manuals re: yanmars, volvos and just about every engine installed in a boat. you can s earch some info for free . there is a small annual subscription fee , well worth the money if you want to access some of the higher features. i ahve been a member for 10 years and it has saved me $$$$ in not having to call an engine mechanic. the site also covers airconditioning, cooling etc.

by the way i am a retired engineer, not affiliated with boatdiesel in any way.

fair winds to you
