I'm about to replace my 3YM30 mounts, summarising my hunt through all the historical posts on Yanmar mounts I'd appreciate any last and up to date comments / feedback from users of any of these before waving the plastic card:

Original Yanmar - obviously works, but c'mon £209 EACH...!
R & D - seems majority recommend but a minority report significant vibration at idle / low revs, £85 each
Isoflex - good reports, different material, but getting on up there at £151 each
AV industrial - couple of good reports, but a tiny bit unnerving as I had to provide every detail on the engine and existing mounts, however they could just be very thorough, which is good, and they finally quoted me their 'recommended' mounts at £26 each
Parts4engines - a couple of good reports, they look identical to the originals - someone said they were from 'AMC' in Spain, £65 each

Decisions, decisions and thank you for any comments

I was recommended R&D for my 3gm30 about 4 years ago and went for them over winter layup.
The next season the vibration was scary, but the engineer got me to increase the idle speed until vibration stopped. The engine was used like this for about 3 weeks and then reset to normal. This fixed the problem.
The R&D style of mount are meant to be safer than the original Yanmar.

Thanks for that feedback, that seems in line with some other R & D users

It might be worth getting a price from Robush Ltd.

Engine mounts for my BUKH engine cost considerably less from them than from the robber-barons BUKH Ltd.

Did my 3ym30 monts back in April the old arrangement was a bit of a comedy setup with two R&D mounts aft and two Yanmars forwards, the port aft one was bolted to the bracket but not the block. Whoever did it was clearly beyond mere incompetence..

So, first I'd check that you have a matching set and that they're bolted to the engine.

Anyway, the yard didn't rate R&D mounts at all, I managed to get genuine yanmar ones for about 160 a pop and there's no discernible difference to anything at all after having done it. Certainly no weird vibration issues.

Keypart are quoting better than your prices:-

128377-08341
Engine Mount - Genuine - (Rear - Marked 75)
Keypart Price
£177.74 Inc VAT

128377-08351
Engine Mount - Genuine - (Front - Marked 100)
Keypart Price
£146.47 Inc VAT

Thanks, mine is a bit of a hash too, the engine was lifted straight out of another boat (just 50 hours on it) with the mountings and bolted straight into mine without thinking about mountings.
After having recent alignment issues we've discovered one rear port side (broken) mounting is marked 100, can't see the starboard or the front ones markings so a complete replacement is going to happen !

Expect to require a new stern seal as well, I had a Volvo type one, and that leaked after re-alignment etc. If the mounts are wrong and the alignment is likely also wrong then this type of seal will have worn oddly and leak when you launch.

I fitted R&D mounts for my 1GM10, I fitted 5mm pads under the alloy pads of the mounts to increase the clearance under the rubber of the central moving part of the mount and found that improved things considerably.

Any chance of a snapshot? My Yanmar originals are on the way out. Which ones did you use, they have different characteristics.

One of the problem with my mounts is that the rubber rapidly deteriorates if it becomes contaminated with diesel.

Do Polyflex mounts suffer from this?

Spoke to Robush after emailing, thanks for that, the guy said they used to manufacture mounts for Yanmar but it was a 'custom' run and they don't anymore, however he'd go investigate and let me know
