Hello All,
My dash kill button quit working. So I have to manually stop the engine by going below. I suspect the kill switch wiring connecting the button to the solenoid is broken.

Can someone please:
1. Confirm the location of the solenoid with an image on the 4LHA-HTP, and
2. Describe the wire harness routing from the harness over to the solenoid. I think mine is white with a brown length-ways stripe with intermittent red width-ways marks, but I cant find it anywhere
3. Confirm that if I apply a 12v pos charge to the soleneoid wire (which re-attached hopefullt to the correct place) then it should close and shut off the fuel supply.

No response. Perhaps would would do better posting your questions on the Motor Boat Forum.

I think you will find that the solenoid is on the injection pump

According to the wiring diagram in the operators manual (qv):
Locally the wire connection to it is brown but the wire through the harness is white/brown. It is a single wire not passing though one of the multi-pin connectors.
Some versions of the 4LHA ( but not the HTP ??) also have a relay in the circuit in which case there is also a separate feed from the key switch to the relay contacts which is a red or a red/black wire. If you have a relay you will have to check this as well.

Yes if you apply 12 volts to the solenoid it should stop the engine.

Check the continuity of the solenoid coil.
