I bought a Volvo workshop manual for myself, and a Yanmar manual for a friend; both from a site in the States. The manuals arrived in about ten days with no problems. The Yanmar manual is particularly good, with excellent illustrations and descriptions and covers 2GM10/2GM20/2GM30 if I remember correctly.

I don't have the address right now (it's on the boat); but if you would like it I will get it later today and put it on the board this evening. It's probably the same as the one that you have anyway !!

I did a search on the net amongs uk sites selling marine engine second hand spares etc. Had a few offers for around £40. Unfortunately havent kept the addresses but they were pretty easy to find.

The Yanmar stand is manned mainly by their agents which means you take pot luck on who you end up talking to and of course who sells you anything you require. The standard of technical knowledge can thus also be variable. You need to find who on the stand works for Barrus, the import agents, as they seem very knowledgeable.

A bit later than promised ............ but I bought a Yanmar manual from:

www.marineengine.com

The manual was actually a "Seloc" manual, and I find it very good. I think it cost around $30 with p&p and was with me (in Italy!!!!!) in about ten days.

you can get one from your local Yanmar agent . it covers 1gm, 2 gm and 3 Gm DONT LET THEM CHARGE YOU VAT on it its a book not spares, and as such is zero rated, should be about £30 if all else fails contact John Cutler at Emsworth marine Power Marine at Bursledon will probably try to charge you VAT (they tried to with me, they wanted £37.50)

Yanmar Manuel

Register with Boatdiesel (fee of circa $25 from memory) and you can download the full workshop manual. Othewise Yanmar dealer but more like £50 from memory for the workshop manual (another £25 for the parts manual which I have found very useful).

yanmar manuals

hello

I was wondering if anyone had or knew where I could find the version of this manual that covers saildrive models i.e. the 3GM30FC (the intro to the manuals posted here say they don't cover engines with "C" which indicates its a saildrive model)

many thanks in advance
Alex
