Yanmar 3GM30 Exhaust Ellbow and anti Siphon question.

Does the above engine need an anti siphon loop? The "older" exhaust assembly catered for it but not the new apparently.
Anyone with experience on this?

It's not dependant on the type of engine but whether it is mounted above or below the waterline. There's a good guide in the Vetus catalogue, which can be viewed online. Having said that, many if not most people install an anti syphon loopjust in case.

It might also be noted that Beta Marine's recommendations are for a greater minimum height of the injection point above the w/l and a greater height for the antisiphon valve in their engine installation guide.
