Yanmar 2GM exhaust hose/muffler

Lots of threads on this subject I know, but can anyone tell me the correct diameter for the exhaust hose please? I need to get a replacement Vetus muffler which is leaking water into the bilge - we've patched it up with filler many times but it has now got to the point of no return.

I believe it's either 40, 45 or 50mm but I can't find the answer anywhere. The closest I've found is '2 inches' which would point toward 50 mm but I'd like to be certain before ordering the muffler. I'm a long way from the boat so I can't go and measure it easily.

Can you measure it? I needed a new flexible exhaust pipe for my 3YM30 so measured the OD of the spigot on the Vetus water trap and it was 50mm.

According to my Yanmar manual, the 2GM20 is 45mm. for the 2GM20F it's 50mm. dia.

Can confirm that 45mm ID exhaust hose is required for the Yanmar 2GM20 (Raw water cooled). Years ago the Vetus code for the hose was SLANG45. The code for the muffler (MP45) was DEMPMP45. Hope this helps.
