I had the need to replace the impeller on my water pump and noticed a drip coming from underneath, after removing the whole pump and cleaned it I noticed that the impeller seemed to be off centre , is this normal please as I am hesitant to put it back until I know if this is ok to use.
Any advice would be welcome please.

Thank you all once again.
I have removed the pump (had to use stud extractor to get bolts undone as bolt heads corroded ) removed both seals ,cleaned off shaft and internals, put in new seals, shaft and impeller (lube as I went along) so going down to boat to put back on making sure I torque on all the bolts.
As for that ill-conceived oil pipe that was replaced some months ago with a "rubber" pipe I made up for under a tenner ( not including the crimping tool that will come in handy for several other jobs on the list).
Notes by the way:-
Take off the crank pulley to get at retaining bolts.
if you have one take a stud extractor with you 10mm use the one that looks like a socket not those stupid drill hole and screw in type (some of the socket type ones may need part of the main body grinding down to fit in the gap ).
Take the bl00dy thing home to do unless you are well sorted at your boat.
Patience

Thanks again
Derrick
