Hello again.
I am in the process of giving our newly acquired Macwester 27 engine a gentle overhaul/service.

I have already discussed the non existent fuel/water separator filter and have purchased one ready to fit .

My question is what size fuel hose ID do I use use for the Yanmar 1GM10 ?

I have read many articles but cannot find a definitive answer .

I am considering using 6mm ID marine spec (ISO 7840) for this purpose , does anyone thing this is wrong?

Also would placing the new fuel filter/separator at fuel pump level but still below fuel tank thus relying on gravity work or would I require a small inline lift pump .

thanks.

Diameter determined by the spigot fittings on the outlet from the tank and the inlet on the lift pump. Does the filter you have bought already have the fittings?

Should not need an additional pump.

A M14 x 1.5 fitting could be for 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm bore hose . You need to measure the diameter of the fittings you have.

Thank you VicS, correct ID, hose clamps used throughout.
I also changed the CAV filter or the RACOR Type.
