The buzzer on the ignition panel decided to give up the ghost at the weekend (it's been getting quieter & quiter over a period of time), so does anyone know where I can get a replacement??

I've tried Googling but with no success (yet!), although I have found possible alternatives i.e. cheap 12V buzzers, which I might end up having a go at using, but wondered if anyone could help with the "real thing".

Thanks in anticipation.

Two types of buzzers are used depending on the instrument panel.

A two wire buzzer is fitted in some ( as far as I can see those panels without a tachometer) while in others a multiple wire buzzer is used (those panels with a tacho)

It should not be difficult to find a replacement for the two wire one , eg from Maplin, but the multiple wire one appears to contain its own system of diodes.
Theoretically I guess it would be possible to use a two wire buzzer and build the appropriate diode network .... but ..?

Thanks Vic. It's the simple two wire buzzer and Maplins do offer something like this, as do a couple of other people on eBay, etc. so I may just use one of these and either use the existing casing (have managed to get it apart), or just put a new one in it's place with a bit of creative bodging!?

I wish mine would go, I am looking for an excuse to change them to bells... That is when I can find a 12v bell of course.. much nicer sound.
