I have just bought a snapdragon 747 that is fitted with a 1gm 10. We have had two other 1gm engines before this and were not impressed, probably old and worn. The 1gm 10 in the Snapdragon seems good, it starts instantly, an runs very smoothly by comparison to our previous experiences. As already suggested, watch out for blocked pipes after the water pump, this will raise your water temp alarm, like it did in ours, although a thorough sea trial at various throttle loads over a 3 HR period and it ran faultlessly. Our engine has been fitted with goodridge hose oil lines as the originals obviously rusted away.
