Yanmar 1GM-10 Operation Manual in PDf

Hi Guys
Anyone know where I can get an operation manual for my engine from. I have ordered an electronic service manual (but the link crashed on download), but I want to get an operation manual. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that pvb. that will be very helpful for servicing. I was looking for an operation manual to check on starting procedures. My engine takes an age to start from cold, and i was wondering whether there was a way of "priming" the fuel, or pre-heating the plugs.

Throttle open to max.
There are no plugs to heat.
It starts in the end,


If it doesnt.
Then get the injector cleaned and checked, valve seats checked.

There are no manual aids for starting a 1GM10 apart from getting up cranking speed by opperating the decompressor before compressing .

I think they sugest around half throttle for starting but I find mine starts best with no throttle.

Fuel enrichment should be automatic for starting and when started the centrafugal force realeses the enrichment link to the injection pump mine stuck once resulting in bad starting but once started ran perfectly.

Try blowing some warm air (hair dryer) into air inlet. Works for my 3gm30 in the winter

Mine always strarted well even in cold weather. However, I did find that if I released the button before it had really got going, and subsequently stopped, then you had to leave it a fair while before re-trying.

Other than that, it sounds as though you may not be getting sufficient compression for some reason.

Ours always starts on the first compression. or sometimes the second. doesnt matter what the throttle is set at, it even starts in gear.
