I have just bought a 2009 Yamaha 115HP fitted with the Y COP anti theft system. The problem is I bought it used and my local marine engineer is fitting it, but although I have all the original hanbooks I dont have a wiring diagram. Does anyone have one they could send me, or point me in the right direction? I am trying to get something off the original supplier, but nothing yet, and time is running out. I want to be on the mooring in Torquay for 1st April!!

Gary, hope Lorna Jane is well, wll drop you a line!!

There are lots on line and there is a US yamaha o/b forum that several dealers post on and they often offer to email manuals. All googlable

Do you mean the immobiliser sustem where you have blue lock/unlock buttons on the black keyfob? I have had this on 2 yam outboards and I thought it was integral and didn't need any particular dealer-level wiring up

Failing that, I can lend you the install manual for a 2010 yam 50 but it's on the boat and I'm not there till this Thursday, so earliest I can post it is Friday this week. Or if the wiring is only a few pages I can scan it to you Friday. Dunno if it's any good for a 115hp anyway. It has the keyfob immobiliser system

I am hoping to get an e mail tomorrow from a Yamaha agent , but Im not holding my breath. If you could look in your manual to see if it shows the wiring diagram in depth,it should mostly relate to a HUB and BUS lines could you scan and send? it would be much appreciated. I am running out of time now!

But ozzie, sorry to repeat myself but concerned about wasted time scanning the wrong info, are we talking about the same thing? Are we talking about the Yam immobiliser sustem where you have blue lock/unlock buttons on the black keyfob, introduced on some models about 2009?

To clarify, it is the wiring loom itself that is causing the headache. There is a main BUS line from the engine to a hub. There are five or six outlets from here going to various points. Most are multiplug and self explanatory, but one yellow single cable is terminated in a self fitted bulet type connector, which we dont know what it is supposed to be connected to. Also there is a red single cable with another bullet connector coming out of the Y COP "black box". I deally we need to see a rigging guide or wiring diagram to make sense of it. Do you by any chance have this supplied with your engine?

Yeah yeah I have all the stuff for my engine but I'm asking you (for the 3rd time) if your antitheft system is the one with two blue buttons ("lock" and "unlock") on a black keyfob. (so as not to waste my time scanning if our engines are totally different)

ok, ready when you are to email scan of the whole install manual. For quick reference, wiring diagram is below.

Red (labelled 4 in the pic) is power supply to the security system box so must be connected to +12v. There is a 12v for this, within the wiring loom that's part of the remote throttle/gear box.

Yellow (next but one to right of #4 in the pic; the one with the fuse, which is 10A incidentally) is nothing to do with the security system and should also be connected to the loom that's part of the remote throttle/gearshift box. In that loom there is yellow wire with corresponding bullet connector

Many thanks, the wiring diaram was really useful, and all connected up this afternoon! The engine is running perfectly, just got to finish odd jobs ready to go down to Torquay marina on Saturday - cant wait!!
