I don't exactly use my Mariner 5 & Mariner 2 two strokes a lot but I do find by the end of season lay-up there is plenty of salt when I take the heads off, which I do every winter now I've discovered this.
On the Mariner 5 my Father took it upon himself to fit a tube to make the telltale easier to see and put my hand under, in fact I did just that today.
