Yamaha Outboard Manual/Timing

Can anyone suggest a site for an online manual for a 4-stroke Yamaha 9.9 outboard - model F9.9BM?

My neighbour has a problem with his timing and I can only find U.S. sites with different model numbers and have no idea of the age.

Yamaha used a year letter code. You'll find the code HERE

BUT They have discontinued the system because the model changes did not necessarily coincide with the years.

I very much doubt if you will find a workshop manual on line but users manuals are available to view over a limited number of years HERE Strictly American models though

Have a look on e-bay, there are CD versions of manuals for a few beer tokens.

Thanks guys, it looks as if it's around 1989 and I'll get him a cd off ebay.

I never even thought of looking on ebay, for some reason.

Good luck with the CD. Some seem Ok but by all accounts others are rubbish.
