Evening all, I hope I'm posting on the right thread.
I've got a Rib with a Yamaha ME370STI along with a Yamaha DE-DHD.
I have no issues with the engine cooling when on the water.
But I cannot get it to pull water through the leg when in a barrel or on "flush muffs" when flushing after use in salt water.
I have a brand new impeller in, no issues with the condition of the impeller housing/seawater pump. There are no leaks in the hoses, no water filling the bilge.
Any ideas on why it is not pulling water?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Does it only pull in water via the leg? My RIB with a Yanmar 6LP 315hp running a Bravo III drive had a hull intake and the leg intake, as they didn't like relying solely on the leg, so I tended to just drop the hose into the sea water strainer and run it like that when on land.

As far as I'm aware yes, theres no hull intakes nor seacocks to be seen. I'll have another look underneath and try the aboce suggestion. Thank you

Bit of an update. I took the Intake hose off the seawater pump and attached a long hose to the intake side of the pump. I filled the hose with water and as I started the engine I dropped the hose into a large barrel. This worked, it was pulling water.
I tried the same thing but with the leg dropped into a barrel, I primed the intake hose that runs from the leg and clamped it back to the pump, I started the engine and no water was pulling through at all.
Any ideas what could cause this on the leg side of things? because it works from a barrel and separate hose and not through the leg!
