Yamaha 9.9 Locked Down

Hi !
Highbridge Crusader Took leg apart to replace impellor, realised that I had no need to separate head from leg. Managed to get nasty long rubber seal back together but now find having refitted to tansom it is stuck down and will not come back up by operating yellow lever to left (as you look at it). Suspect I have fiddled with reverse lock (under steering arm ?) What have I done ?

Yes I spotted that after (Doh !) but it is still stuck. Is the pressed steel lever under the steering quadrant the release ?

Could you post photos of the sides and front of the engine showing the area just below the cover?

Difficult as in a well but fitted to many Dawncraft so pics. available.
Will look at manual and lift off if necessary !

Ah Ha ! The catch was hooking on the fixed oversize cross brace ! Not the proper toggle pin !
