I have a nearly new Yamaha 9.9 long shaft as an auxiliary (large prop version). Cooling water emerges not only from the telltale (very strongly as it should) and occasionally a dribble from the relief port on top aft side of the leg (normal) but also comes out of the forward joint of the plastic coaming (secured by two screws) at the top of the leg about 18 inches above the waterline. Can anyone tell me if they have the same experience and/or is this normal please?
