Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone can help me out/give an opinion on my wee issue.

I bought a new Yamaha 8hp outboard to replace my old one which is the same model.

I use the outboard for trolling and spend the day travelling along just above idle at around 3mph.

my old Yamaha and all the others that I’ve used are very quiet and there is no noise whatsoever from the prop area.
The new one however seems to expel a lot of exhaust from the prop exhaust resulting in a stream of bubbles and a low, rumbling, gargling sound which gives me a headache after a days fishing.

Could it be that there is too much exhaust coming from the prop and not enough from the exhaust that is half way up the shaft?
Is there a way to fix it?

thanks very much in advance and sorry for my limited knowledge ?
Here’s a photo of the new outboard going just above idle. You can see just how much exhaust is coming out. (I have a video but I don’t seem to be able to upload it)
