Yamaha 4hp oil-mix

Just bought a second-hand Yamaha 4hp aprx 10 - 12 years old, no oil mix ratio wrote on the side, any ideas if it would be 50:1 or 100:1, used to have a 3.5 years ago and that was 50:1.

My friend has a water cooled yam 4hp of about that age and that is 100:1. My air cooled 3.5 yam is also 100:1. Not definitive - just an idea.

Hi

Just type this in (copy then paste) and you'll get a dealer locator and responder page. You can then get accurate info from them?? Too much oil will burn the cyl/piston and too little will seize them. Hope this helps. Roy
