It's about time I gave my outboard a service for the first time and I seem to have lost the service book that came with the engine when I bought it new about 3 years ago.

Would anyone be able to let me know what spec and capacities I need for engine oil and gear oil. Since new it has only run for about 7 hours if that, so is there anything I should be doing.

Thanks.

It's a bit late to be thinking about servicing an outboard, you should have done that as soon you finished using it at the end of last season.

However I would expect any 4 stroke outboard engine oil to be suitable but no doubt your Yammie dealer can sell you some Yammie branded stuff

Similarly I expect any high viscosity (SAE 80W-90 EP ) outboard gear oil to be suitable. Again your Yammie dealer will sell you some Yammie branded stuff.

The manual will tel you how to drain the oils and how to refill engine and gearcase. I recommend you get a replacement manual !

It's for the USA models but THIS ONE may be helpful.

Carry out all the recommended maintenance items.

How have you serviced it in previous years ?
