Is anyone familiar with these motors?
I am helping a friend with his, the motor is about 10 years old.
The question relates to the idle speed lever. It does not do anything. In fact the only way to start the engine seems to be to manually open the throttles by pushing the linkages at the carbies.
Now I would assume that the idle speed lever on the control box is intended to open the throttles by pulling the throttle cable without moving the motor into gear. I think all this should happen at the forward control box. If so there must something disconnected or slipping.
Is it easy to open the control box? All advice gratefully received olewill
