There used to be plenty on the market, where you could buy the hull, keel and deck assembly, and fit it out yourself, not much around now, but at Paris yesterday I found Wrighton Yachts who make twin keeled deck saloon boats, available in kit form. They are also sold fully completed, with fairly plain looking but well thought out and well made interiors. The Bi Loup 36 struck me as a good design, with some nice features like the dedicated liferaft stowage in the transom, a feature not often seen on monohulls. For anyone wanting a new boat for a drying mooring, or sailing the East Coast creeks I think one of these would be worth a good look.
Memo to Practical Boat Owner. How about trying to do a boat test on one? They look as if they might sail well, as the hull shapes are not too shallow and flat, and the ballast ratios look reasonable for twin keelers.
