Those disappointed by the sales inducement gifts handed out at previous boat shows will be glad to hear that this year, YM will be handing out FULL bottles of the high quality Glen Turret Single Malt Whisky to those who sign up for a year's subscription.
How are they able, financially to do this?
Well, they intend to save on editorial costs by reprinting the current issue and re-dating it February 2007. Not only will this save a huge amount of money but it will also have the effect of giving all the staff a well earned extra whole month off at Christmas.
The clue to this impending action is given at the foot of the inside back page of the Jan 07 edition where the "Next Month's Issue" is detailed as being an exact duplication of the current edition.
Smart move, YM; and to do it in a month when the readership is probably least likely to notice. Except of course, should they all arrive at Excel looking for the second LIBS of 2007 in February!
