Yachting Examinations

Hi All,

I live in Malta and would like to study and obtain a british yachting license. I here many people refering to RYA certification etc but have no idea how this really works.

Is there any way i could do a correspondence course ? Any help would be appreciated.

There are lots of levels to work through - look at www.rya.org.uk. You can do the theory by correspondance, and suitable schools are listed on this site. I have used Tiller for correspondance and they are very good. You can do your practical in the Med, or over here in the UK. You need to do it here to get the tidal certificate if this is important to you.

I too used the Tiller school for my Day Skipper theory and was also very pleased with them.
