Just sold so now looking for twin keel such as - Moody 28, Westerly Merlin, Moody 29, Moody 27, Westerly Konsort, Westerly Griffon II, Sadler 29 (reservations with moisture retention in double skin)

Anything out there in the South West ?? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I saw a sadler 29... had it surveyed.... surveyor just said NO. Massive water retention between the skins.

I'm sure that there are many in good nick, but I think you are right to be cautious of the double skinned boats. Get a good surveyor is the obvious advice.

Cheers

My twin keel Sadler 29 (1989) is a single reinforced skin built professionally and as a result is slightly beamier inside than the factory finished examples. Sails well and wouldn't swap for the world.
