Yacht surveyor Solent area

I'm looking at two or three yachts with a view to buy in the Solent area - mainly between Soton & Gosport.

I'm based in Suffolk so have no local knowledge.

Can anybody recommend a good, diligent surveyor local to the Solent area for a condition/purchase survey of a yacht (yet to be decided ) .

Only experiance with one (Guy Nicholls www.SolentMarineSurveys.com ) but the survey and report was done quickly, on time and after 6 months I have found nothing significant that should have been found.

Robin Milledge Rozel Marine is now a surveyor after many years in the marine industry, sailing and refitting yachts. Yes he is well known to me as an ex work colleague and friend, but he works with the utmost professionalism and is at least worth a phone call.

I'd never heard of him before but I took a recommendation for him to survey the RM880 I bought recently. Did a fine job, extremely helpful and efficient, and reasonably priced too.

Seems others have good opinions too, which cheers me, I had never heard of him before this.
