Yacht moorings in Wales (Porthmadog)

Suggest you have a look at Caernarfon Harbour Trust's web site as they have fully maintained deep water swinging moorings south of the Swellies. Anglesey County Council also have swinging deep water moorings north of the Swellies, but you are responsible for providing tackle. In terms of sailing, Anglesey has some excellent anchorages and marinas - if you go to Pwllheli I suspect you may have limited anchorages to visit given the SW winds.

Agree with Caiman. look at Barmouth. There are some swinging moorings that do not dry. VG value

I keep a bilge keel Moody 33 in Porthmadog, costs around £700 for the mooring plus another £800 for winter lift out and storage. Very friendly club, good facilities but you will be limited with 6' keel (as are many of the harbours in this area)!
Worth a call to the very helpful HM if you are interested as there may be deep water trot moorings available.
