When working out the cost, you need to also consider the alternative... taking her the yourself...
On the face of it, why pay for someone to sail your boat when you can sail her yourself... ? Seems silly??
However, it is likely that you are not as fit as a delivery crew. You will not be able to sail watch on watch off for five days then another five days to get from UK to the Med. The practical upshot of this is you sail for a day at a time and spend a lot more time in many more harbours and marinas... These get expensive... It also takes a lot longer if you are stopping every night so you need more time off work, (assuming you are still part of the working class
).
Looked at from the other end, yachtndelivery may be expensive, but it is likely to be cheaper than self delivery.
