Could you tell me what percentage For diesel they have to pay when delivering a motor boat . Thanks for replies.

If I was asked m/employee to deliver a boat for someone I would expect them to pay all costs. That includes diesel, harbour dues etc and all out-of-pocket expenses for myself and any crew. I would also be expected to be paid either per mile or the going rate per day.

I'm a delivery skipper.... 100% of fuel costs are passed to the person who has employed me. If it's a long passage then I'd expect a reasonable sum of money to be lodged with me on account before leaving. You'll find that's pretty much industry standard.

Yes, the delivery is a commercial activity so fuel is at the commercial rate. Not 60/40.

I think you will find it is whether the craft is "commercial" or "private leisure" that is the discriminator not whether the crew are paid or not. Otherwise just ask your local yard to move and fill up your boat at 100% rebate and off you go.

Fuel is generally charged at non-commercial rate. Marinas look at the vessel, not the crew in determining the PPL. I'm sometimes charged a lower rate but it's a rare treat, especially overseas.
