Do you open every day for lunch and in the evening? No- we open only Tues evening and the weekend, and do not offer food at all.
Can non members eat in your 'restaurant' without signing in? Not applicable
Do you have reduced membership fees for 'social' ie non-sailing members? Yes
Do members living a long distance from the club get a reduced sub 'country' membership? We dont accept membership applications from people living more than about 30 miles away
Is the bar/catering run by a club employee or a franchisee? Neither - by members
Can you get good numbers to attend 'boating' talks? No. We have difficulty getting members to any function
Members are expected to do 20 hours work each year and are charges if they do not do them. Even then, many members prefer to pay the £5 per hour. All work is done by club members including the building of all facilities, and all equipment, and the driving of the boat lift, tractors etc. Mostly by a hard core of committed members - we have the usual 80/20 rule.
