Oh no, but he did have the pleasure of saying to the worried git ' well at least you f****** replied this time didn't you !'

Only a tactic to use when one is certain the situation is terminal...

John

My unreserved apologies.

I posted at 08.32 then sent the pm. Then I went out. I did not revisit the thread.

I thought it odd you had not acknowledged the pm but did not think, for a second, to check the thread.

Won't happen again!

Sorry :(

You are a gentleman :encouragement:

I thought I would do a follow up to the thread I started last month.I travelled 280 miles from Wales to visit a Brokers in Emsworth that had some 'Whales' outside the entrance.:)
What a fantastic day.The broker,'Ryan',could not have been more helpfull.:cool:I viewed all the boats on my 'hit list' with the exception of one which was out sailing. No complaints,it was a sunny, windy, sailing day,so I can't blame the owner for that.Ryan tried several times to contact them by phone. He also took time out to show me some boats that may be coming up for sale soon, and, after listening to my requirements, gave me some astute, knowledgeable and impartial advice. He is also researching the possibility of me crewing on various boats later in the year.
I do agree with some of the comments on the forum that some owners obviously arn't that interested in selling,at least, going by the state that some of the boats were 'presented'.I do not see how the broker could be blamed for that.
As part of the day I had the pleasure in meeting a perfect Gentleman by the name of Eric on the Rival yacht 'Alisha'(spelling?).If any of his friends are reading this, please give him my kind regards. If he is ever in my Lat/Long,I would certainly go out of my way to assist him in any way possible if required.
Did I buy a boat? No.The trip was mainly for 'reconasence'.All the goals on my list were achieved.
Will I use this broker to purchase a boat in future?
A resounding 'yes',or at least, they will be my first call.
If Ryan is reading this, thanks again for a very worthwhile day and good luck with the 'drifting':D
Cheers
