There is a sad picture on Burnham Facebook of a yacht about 34ft, blown ashore near Burnham Yacht Harbour. She has broken away from Essex marina swinging mooring. She is steel I think so may be OK.
I dont know how to show pictures from Facebook.

I got in from my daily run about an hour ago.

As I ran passed the unfortunate boat, I spoke (albeit very briefly) to her owner. He seemed, perhaps understandably, rather pre-occupied.

He told me he lives aboard, and was onboard when she came adrift.

He seemed keen to get away, so I didn't delay him.

If he'd had more time, I was going to say that I'd be happy to crew, if he needed any help: though I suspect he may have a suitably hefty tow lined up.

If, by any chance, he sees this, and would like crew, I hope he will not hesitate to send me a pm.

I hope it all goes well, and that there's no real damage (she's steel).

(Edit: I've tried to add a pic, but the file is 'too large')

Just coming up to HW now.

cannot find it on FB, if you can provide a link its easy to post pic

I have no doubt that there is a better way, but on Faceache you can 'save picture as' after right clicking on it, and then post it from your own computer.

Too much running...…. Don't you watch tipping point

"Too much running"?

For me, that's never, even remotely, existed!

Running is even more important to me than sailing, as I didn't discover sailing till rather late in life (I had to wait till I was six before my introduction to sailing).

In fact, I find the two are, for me, often a great combination.

Oh yeah ......... I've absolutely no idea what 'Tipping Point' is: should I watch it?

(Edited: in my enthusiasm, I got a bit carried away, so I've had a rather severe cull.)
