On my list is:-

2. Brass clock and Barometer.
3. Portable TV with inbuilt video or maybe even DVD
4. Proper unbreakable crockery for boat
5. Next Years Almanac

Knowing my family, I have more chance of seeing Lord lucan on This is Your Life thean getting any of these! Anyone else got any Xmas wishes

Yes, a bloody buyer that turns up to complete the sale when they say they will. Still, I've made nearly 2 grand out of non returnable deposits. Another wasted day.

Why on earth would punters pay non returnable deposits then not go through with the deal? Must have money to burn!!

You would have thought so wouldn't you. I'm getting that pissed off with being mucked about I'll think I'll keep the boat and sod buying another one. It wasn't me that wanted to change anyway. The other half was the one that piped up we "need" a bigger boat.

Saw some nice unbreakable crockery at Southampton. Has a rubber ring in the base to help grip the table in a seaway. I inherited some on a previous boat but it went off the market for years, I guess just off the UK market.

If you want unbreakable crockery for the boat, go to a caravan agents. We did, and have not had a breakage in 15 years. It is also lighter than normal crockery, but not horrible cheap plastic. From my experience this stuffis available from any large caravan shop - we go to them quite often as they have a lot of stuff that is identical to chandlery, but at a cheaper price.

If it was unbreakable the firm probably went skint - no repeat business - the only thing that got broke was the company
