There appear to be four sizes of furling gear and I'm trying to work out which one I have. The drum of mine is 4" in diameter and 2" deep. The serial number is suffixed '3B' and 'T'.
Despite working well on my 50 sq ft jib, the combined weight of the two elements contribute to a sag in the luff that might be affecting my performance into the wind.

Can anyone identify which furling gear I have - and does anyone have what I need?

Nick

I think you 'll find the clues in the question - you have a size 3 which is a fairly hefty bit of kit.

For a 50 sq ft sail size 1 or 2 would be right. If it's of interest I have a fairly old size 2 but with new bearings this year which I could be persuaded to exchange for a size 3.

thanks for the information. My w/m is also old. There is evidence of slight wear on the shackle pins but no distortion, and the two elements work perfectly.
A straight swap would be acceptable to me
