Wx Synoptic Charts Urgently Needed

Can anyone point me to a source of synoptic charts for the mid-Atlantic, specifically from Cape Verde to Trinidad available on the net with at least a 3 day forecast. ?

But must be synoptic. Grib of no use same goers for Passage Wx, Magic Seaweed etc etc.

Have been searching the web for past 3 days and found nothing that covers that area.

I was actually looking for charts that cover a tad further South than those given.
Seems this is a bit of a black spot.
ECWM looking down on N pole do not go far enough S and those looking down on S pole
do not go far enough N. Nothing seems to give the area I am looking at which seems to be the cross over area twix the above.

Used to be able to get this from NOAA during the hurricane season but now all they show is data for high seas.

Ok let me give you the reason for my interest at this time. Folks we are trying to help are en-route mid Atlantic approx 1500 Nm W of Cape Verde heading for Trinidad, and their only source of Wx info is a sat phone on Iridium which seems to be hit & miss. Am having to interpret a 3 day computer forecast with its limitations and condense it down to 140 char inc e-mail addy. Yes I know not the brightest thing to do but there you have it. Can only try to assist them.

They do not have HF/SSB.
 
That is a good list of wx charts. And the BW ones are clearer!
Mind you 1500mls west of CV, all you can do is keep going west, dodging squalls.
Are there ever westerly winds at this time of year!?

You need you get up to around the lat of Bermuda to pick up the westerlies.

There was an interesting BBC prog which I can't find the link to now. They fitted gps trackers to manx shearwaters and the birds did the same thing, flying a big circle round the atlantic. How can they carry a copy of "world cruising routes" under one wind and still fly?? :D

PS. If you have an iPad, then Weathertrack has a very useful facility to get synoptic charts from the UK and US. These are not GRIBs. They are charts from those two centres (or even centers!)

You do not say where you are and what comms you have.

With internet access try http://weather.noaa.gov/fax/marsh.shtml

Personally, what is wrong with GRIBs giving winds, isobars if you really want them, rain areas, swell? At sea, assuming email via Iridium or HF, then Saildocs is your best bet.
