You get to some weird boatshows Nautical. Are you a member of some underground freaky-boat scene or something? I bet that one was underground in Hamburg. :-)
 
That looks like a gyrocopter. Needs forward motion to land and take off. An ordinary heli would be no problem, /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif but a gyro would need either a very strong head wind or a very long houseboat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
The plot thickens Peter. Perhaps the houseboat styling is an understated facade and it gets the headwind by being driven at 50kts using its 3x2000hp engines on Arneson drives
 
LOL, yeah, I'd love to try also a slalom course behind it!...
Actually Peter got it only partially right: a gyro it is, but definitely a VTOL machine.
The forward motion required by those thingies for both take off and landing is ridiculously low, 2 or 3 meters of space is more than enuff.
