It is my pleasure to call myself a friend of Roy's but I can empathise with you 100% when you say your messages never reached him. There is just something about his use of media and brevity that confounds the norm. They are probably sitting in his inbox waiting for him but if yours was a new message rather than a reply you've lost him. He's diabolical that way.
