Could be worse, you might have left your 1,000 burgee thingy on the boat and hence have it included in the sale.

Some Johnny come later is going ot get my boat (some day) and when he puts the flag up it will have a 1,000 post thing flying - and he / she the dirty rotter won't have contributed anything!

So you unscrew this, and put it safely here, then oopps...

It's all that Cardiff Bay stuff , gone all soft down there. I used to work downthe docks in the days of ' The Reardon Line' and hopping overto Weston on the booze-cruise on a Friday afternoon . You wouldn't have put a GRP in there then, so blo*dy many chemicalsi t would have disintegrated..

Bet Byron can remeber when Penarth really wa the boil on the a*seh*le of Wales ans Splott was as big a dump as it sounds not all gentrigfied. usef to be a pub with bullet holes in the walls ...what was it called??

It's -1 degrees in Cardiff today and its snowing so I might as well be a bloody Eskimo.

I bet you did used to work down the docks... although the've cleared all the hookers out now so you wouldn't recognise the place.

Axshully they've cleaned up the water and released 200,000 salmon and trout into the bay. Caught a bloody big one I did last year off me pontoon, well almost did coz it dragged me in it was that hard!

An what do you mean boyle on the a##hole of Wales. Penarth is the boating capital of the western approaches these days. This is the place where Spirit of Cardiff was comissioned and where it set off from......err not a great example I grant you.

We don't get the bullets and the yardies since the Evans Clan left town in the 70's or was that 60's !

Anway, me thinks you're trying divert attention away from the fact you ain't bought a boat and it's looking pretty unlikely this side of LBS so I reckon you're gonna be in the chair for quite some time.....boyo.

I remember when it was 3p for a kids return ticket to Barry Island, when you could take a Paddle Steamer from Bute Street Dock to Weston Super Mare, when the canal was where Churchill Way is today, the river Taff had no fish and if you put your arm in the Feder it came out black from coal dust. There's lovely look you.

Truth is that my accent was so broad when I first wen t there everyone assumed I was speaking Welsh.. you'd never believe that if you heard me speak now. Just unintelligible due drink.

Hell of a lot of money wasted cleaning that water....the only thing maritime really now is the museum. Never were hookers down the docks , they were all at top of Bute Street in the 'Bute Hotel' (??) and environs. The area (docks) was originally the Commercial centre of cardiff run down then , but used to work opposite Exchange ( nowOpera house) in Mt Stuart Square.

Took an American in there just before it shut 4 years ago ... he writes every year to remind me about it !! Reckoned it was harder than Harlem or the EastSide/...
