For mixing I've a simple blend such as Ballantines or J&B.
For finer taste a Bunnahabhain single malt 12yrs.

But the house cocktail is 1/6 gin, 2/6 Passoa and 1/2 orange juice. Serving this to the guests also empties the Whisky at a slower rate.

A new discovery for me is Scapa, an orcadian as the name suggests, but quite different to Highland Park.
Its not easy to come by... the distillery is in mothballs and the only releases are 10 and 14 year olds, but its worth looking for.
I speak as an Islay fan, but the Scapa has a freshness which is a nice change.
Seperately, the jug currently on board contains dregs from several distilleries obtained from a cooper friend. A sort of ad hoc blend never to be repeated.
