Bet a few forumites have been out on the water today? Glorious over here in the Swale area - out and about with the CG, saw several boats out near Faversham, and Peegee of this parish was spotted chugging down Conyer Creek in the sunshine. Lucky devil.
Four weeks and a lot of bottom painting between now and getting afloat again for me...

Got out for an Hr yesterday couldnt sail as i forgot to take the batten cars back o/b .
gave the motor a run then finished off tiding up

Took Marmalade back to Shotley yesterday (new standing rig courtesy of the nice men at Foxes).

Local knowledge - got to the goalposts about 1hr before low water - the marina said they had 2.5m in the lock - we draw 2.01m We agreed that 2.5 was plenty - however...

We touched the bottom and dragged our keel through the mud for 20-30m on our way in - I was bang in the channel according to the chevron thingy.

So - at least 0.5m less in the channel than in the lock.

Lovely day on the river though and nice to see clearly through new sprayhood windows - this time courtesy of Sail and Cover at Woolverstone. V good job on the sprayhood and fast too.

Now for some sailing...
