Worst Boat Picture

Bizarrely I just saw my first real life seadrift today up by RCC in Lytham St Annes.

Better condition than these though... I was nosing at an Invicta that sadly could be closer... Maybe it was just the sudden downpour.. :(
 
Sad boats

The southern canals (Med to Atlantic) have their fair share of sad boats, often yachts, that appear to have been abandoned mid-voyage. I often wonder about the perhaps tragic stories behind them. We passed an example the other week, right in the middle of the Canal de Garonne about halfway between Bordeaux and Toulouse. A once nice little craft, but not now, tied to a few trees with some fraying bits of string, almost hidden underneath branches, slowly rotting and with some broken windows. Shame.
