I hav'nt actually been out MOBOing since last September as I have sold one boat and bought a new project. The problem is that the new boat will be ready to launch in the next few weeks and I cant remember what it was I loved so much about boating! Last summer I just couldnt get enough- now it all seems like a distant memory and I cannot gather any enthusiasm.

So please everyone help me get over the blues and fill my head with images to make me the boat junkie I was last year!!!!

Thanks

Brian

Re: Step into my surgury old chap...

Ahh, youre all good chaps!! I now see the problem- there are acres of mud, carpark and old antifoul below where there should be nice shiny water!!!

Now if you'll just run through opening up the throttles again whilst I untie the noose........

Left Kingsbridge this a.m. with around 0.5m of water below us. Pootled down to Salcombe - frost on the hillsides - no other boats moving - clear blue sky. Over The Bar, turned left and headed for Dartmouth going with the moderate seas. These petered out by Start Pt. and we arrived sooner than expected. Naval College bathed in sunshine and hardly anyone on the water.
Proceeded up river to Stoke Gabriel then returned to Dittisham and picked up a buoy. Frantic row in dinghy then followed with a strong eddy trying to take us in the opposite direction to "The Ship".
Replete after good pub lunch we climbed onto the upper helm and pootled back to Dartmouth. Out past the castle we then hugged the coast past Slapton Sands and Torcross. Start Pt - WHOA - overfalls now so into displacement mode for about 150m. Sea back to flat again and returned to 20kts.
Entered Salcombe as the sun dipped behind Bolt Head and picked up a buoy off Lincombe to wait for the tide (and had a cup of tea and a piece of Xmas cake).
Ended up creeping up to our berth in the dark.
Not a bad January Day Out , or any day in fact. Come on get going with your project, look what you're missing /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
