welcome ladys and gentlemen.

i have opened this post to help me in my quest for information.

i am looking for anyone who knows of the HMS Khedive or HMS Lowerstoft during WWII.
my grandad served on these vessels one in atlantic convoys and the other around asia.
he served as a gunner reaching rank of Petty Officer.

any information would be greatfullly recieved

On the last link have a look at Convoy OS.33 and look up Escorts, it tells of HMS Lowerstoft being involved in a collision. She was taken in tow to the Azores. I found this by accident.

As Roy says, use Google and the other search engines as well. They all have a different way of searching for things. My Father in Law was a British coder on a French Ship called "Le Triomphant" and it's amazing what's on the internet. Rescues, island evacuations and near sinkings ...the lot! You can even buy models of his ship.
