I've been caught out before. Do you mean repair manual, service manual, overhaul manual or maintenance manual?
I just googled workshop manual for 2006 honda 2hp outboard and got quite a few links. None of them of any use?

Hi Clive,
I mean the manual that will allow me to strip the thing down for a service/repair. It won't start, and I have a feeling I will have to take the carb to bits for cleaning, and I think I may also have an oil leak. The owners manual is not much use. All of the links I have tried so far bring me to the owners manual

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, it is one of those 'not to be trusted' links. You have to sign up for something. I strongly suspect it is designed to capture your data; there is no evidence that they actually have the manual. Unless anyone knows different

Here is a site which says you can download a "Service Repair Manual" but you have to sign in with Linkedin

Here is a site which says you can have one for $8. (I would have to be happy that wasn't a scam) I did a google on "sellfy.com safe? and it appears OK

If you can PM me your email address, I can send you an excellent document which gives details of how to service a Honda 2.3hp outboard, which is basically the same as your 2hp model.
