Any ideas and rough prices on 5meter + rib to use as a work horse?. Carrying tools ect.
Would also consider other craft if up to the task, thanks

Andy one of these with a diesel inboard should cost between £10 - 12 k incl trailer etc. Worth having a search on

[Channel Ribs]

A 5.3m Heavy Inflatable would set you back less than 2k new, will take a 50HP outboard and carry up to 1500kg; all with a C category. Much easier to tow/launch and more versatile than a rigid vee boat.

Worth having a look at RIB.net, lots of expert advice there as well as here.

 

[Dyflin]

A good alternative if being used for a work boat would be an aluminium boat. It would stand up to a lot more abuse.
