Work for Transit ..Advice Please

Can anyone help me with information in how to find transit on a private vessel in exchange for working on that vessel. Would prefer privately owned vessel. Looking to go to the Gulf of Mexico or to South America.

best way is to go to antibes or any large marina where the large private yachts visit en-route to the caribean. youll have to get your face known and it may take some time or try the crewing agencies down there.
