Hi Everybody,

This post is for the practical boat builders out there. I have a steel hull and I want to construct a simple insulated wooden superstructure for a liveaboard. It will be constructed using using timber frames. I intend to clad it in OSB and then glue GRP panels onto it. All joins will be glassed in. The GRP panels are 3mm thick x8'x4'. They are the same stuff that all road signs are made from now rather than Aluminium which was being stolen all the time. What I want to know is what kind of adhesive would I use? I was thinking of some kind of spreadable stuff with a notched trowel. Also what do you think of the whole idea. The boat will be permanently moored so will not be crossing the Atlantic. I realise I am essentially a Land Lubber so don't be too critical. Thanks.
