Has anyone found a product that will last longer than a year on wood exposed to the sun on yachts in the north Queensland climate.???
Varnishes dont last, any suggestions would be welcomed.

Protecting timber in a hot humid and very sunny environment is a labour of love and consumes a lot of time and money.

I tried this for many years and must admit I gave up. Replacing the timber grab rails with stainless steel and UV stable plastics.

Other areas were sanded and primed then coated with polyurethane 2 pack paint, got a great finish and very little maintenance required.
