We are planning to visit Wivenhoe next Monday and just wondering if I'm being optimistic in aiming to arrive couple of hrs before HW with a 4 ft draught , anyone been there lately or have any tips for a first visit , cheers .

You should be fine. The club website says the pontoons are accessible from approx 2 hrs before HW. http://www.wivenhoesailing.org.uk/visitors
