If you are feeling well-flushed and looking for an excellent restaurant try this place, it is at the top of hill on the right beyond the church. You'll be looking at about £100 per couple including wine. You'll probably need to book at weekends

BTW Limpets has closed and Egans has changed hands.

How recently did Egans change hands Chris? We were there at the end of June and it was excellent, wouldn't want to go again until we we sure it is still as good, the prices are for special nights out rather than routine ones for us.

Robin,
Sorry not to have replied earlier, only just noticed that someone had posted here. If you were there in June then I think that nothing has changed since then.

Thanks Chris, that is good news because it was really very good. If I start saving now maybe next year's anniversary will be there too!

Just wanting to correct a slight inaccuracy so as not to put anyone off. Egan's restaurant has not changed hands and has been owned and run by Mr and Mrs Egan for the past 6 years. The food and value for money is of an unbeatable standard in Lymington, with a 3 course meal, with wine and coffee, for 2 coming in at around £70. I have been there every time i visited Lymington (most recently last week) and will continue to do so in the future.

I unreservedly apologise for any embarrassment to John Egan and his restaurant, I had been told that the restaurant had changed hands and posted for interest. I now know that this was incorrect.

I'm pleased to report that the meal that I had there recently was excellent, as was the service.

Re: YBW Discount arrangements

As valued members of ybw, we all get special offers at all restaurants. Just say "I am from ybw, and i want my free custard pie". I think should do the trick.

Is the pie served or thrown?
